Announcement – Loopring’s Bi-Weekly Progress Report Has Been Released!

Introduction

Loopring has just recently released their bi-weekly progress report. The report as usual gives an insight into their activities in the past two weeks including a progress report on the development of their New Website, Wallets, Relay Cluster and Protocol. It also highlights organised events that were attended by key members of Loopring a fortnight ago.

Loopring’s bi-weekly progress report showed that they had taken significant strides in their development of their distributed version of their relayer backend network as well as their Circulr wallet. Check out the summary of Loopring’s bi-weekly progress report in this article.

Progress Report On Protocol Development

Loopring stated that on the Ethereum blockchain they had finished refactoring every necessary protocol test. At the moment the protocol tests are configured with ring or raw transaction data or with a structured order data.

The ring data also provides a much simpler method for uncovering the reasons behind the failures some of the ring transitions experienced during production. Loopring also stated that by conducting even more tests they have seen massive improvements in their test coverage.

It was also stated in the bi-weekly progress report that the execution of the JavaScript reference under the Loopring protocol which is also currently utilised by their testing framework will be made available for use by developers of both the DEX and the wallet as a ring-matching simulation utility that is based on the web.

For the NEO blockchain, Loopring performed a check on the reported Storage Injection bug present in NEO smart contracts. Loopring confirmed that it’s LRN token smart contract on the NEO blockchain is secure and completely unaffected by the bug issue.

Progress Report On The Relay Cluster

Loopring has finished the coding of the Relay Cluster which is the distributed version of its relay system. The Relay Cluster has no recognised failure point, it is much more responsive and has a quicker socket data streaming capability. The different parts of the Relay Cluster according to Loopring will be extensively tested within the next two weeks.
It must be said that their Relay Cluster comes with several RPC services with quite a few of these RPC services being independent git repositories like the extractor and miner. Loopring further informed that for the Relay Cluster to be more dynamic and top performing they will have to carry out extensive development, tests and detailed documentation.
