All You Need To Know About The Ontology Community GIF Sticker Design Competition

According to Ontology, their GIF sticker design competition is open to every member of the Ontology community. Contestants have to submit GIF stickers that embody the fundamental principles of the Ontology project. The basic principles of the Ontology project include;

  • The principle of decentralisation,
  • innovation and
  • high-performance.

Ontology also insist that while competitors design their GIF stickers with these principles in mind, they should not deviate from making their GIF stickers appealing, interesting and fun. These GIF stickers will be a available for use on the various Ontology online communities and social media channels as a way of promoting the Ontology brand, but in a fun and cool way.

Competitors Maintain Ownership Of GIF Stickers

Those competitors that submit GIF stickers will still maintain ownership of their respective GIF stickers. However, all contestants will agree to grant members of the Ontology community access to both utilise and share their respective GIF stickers for non-commercial purpose ONLY within the Ontology community.

Compete And Win Prizes!

For competing in the Ontology GIF sticker design competition, contestants can win the following prizes based on their ranking;

  • 1st position – 1 contestant – 500 ONG reward.
  • 2nd place – 3 competitors – 300 ONG prize.
  • 3rd spot – 6 individuals – 200 ONG prize.
  • Runner-up – 50 contestants – 50 ONG reward.

Ontology stated that every contestant that submits a GIF sticker design can earn a maximum of two rewards for their submitted stickers (maximum of two entries) and every single entry will be open to community voting. The ranking of entries will be based on the votes acquired by each entry.

Submission Deadline

Participants of the Ontology GIF sticker design competition are expected to submit their entries between the 8th and 18th of August, 2018.

Voting Schedule

  • From the 20th to the 22nd of August, 2018 – The first round screening and selection of entries will be conducted by the Ontology team and the number of selected entries will be limited to sixty (60).
  • Between the 23rd and 27th of August, 2018 – Members of the Ontology community will be allowed to vote.
  • From the 27th to the 29th of August, 2018 – The second round voting by the Ontology team will take place.
  • By the 31st of August, 2018 – Announcement of winners.

Note that the vote sharing is 50% for the Ontology core team and 50% for members of the Ontology community.

Instructions For All Competitors

  • All entries should have Ontology as the main theme.
  • Every submitted Ontology sticker design should come in GIF format ONLY with a size of (240 x 240 pixels).
  • The maximum number of entries per contestant is two GIF sticker designs.
  • Submission of entries should be done through email. Every submitted entry via email will receive a successful submission confirmation email notification which will be sent before the 20th of August, 2018.

Submission Instruction

  • All entries should be submitted as an email attachment to the following address: marketing@ont.io.
  • The “Subject Title” should be: “Ontology Community Sticker Design Competition – (Sticker Name) – (Designer Name).
  • All competitors should include the following with their submission;
  1. Their full name.
  2. Their email address.
  3. Description notes for their submitted GIF stickers.
  4. Their ONT ID and ONTO wallet addresses.

Ontology also warned all prospective participants that failure to keep to the submission instruction would render their entries null and void. Competitors are also free to share their GIF sticker designs in the various Ontology online communities in order to earn more votes.

Criteria For GIF Sticker Design Selection

  • Image design and message clarity.
  • There is no restriction to the design style of the GIF stickers, however elements of the principles of Ontology as mentioned earlier must be present.
  • While there are no restrictions to the sticker design; nudity, obscene language and violence are not permitted.
  • The GIF stickers should be attractive, fun and promote the Ontology brand as well as message.

Ontology has also stated that any competitor involved in the manipulation of votes will be disqualified.

Announcement Of Winners

The winners of the Ontology GIF sticker design competition will be announced via the social media channels of Ontology (Twitter, Telegram, Facebook, Discord, Reddit, LinkedIn) while the winners will be sent an email notifying them of their win.
